Assessment of Conformity to Design

Before any device is used or supplied for use, a ride controller  must make sure that an inspection body competent in assessment of conformity to design has confirmed in writing that the device has been constructed in accordance with its specification.

For a full description of the assessment of conformity to design please refer to Fairground and  Amusement Parks - Guidance on Safe Practice (2nd edition), paragraphs 104-109

At LTC, our inspection engineers have been involved in several assessments to ensure that the device construction and installation is as the approved design specification. Typically this involves a visit at the ride manufacturer and detailed measurements of critical ride dimensions. For more information please contact us.
